Digital resources from Henning Larsen Architects

The Danish firm known for their socially-engaged approach to sustainable architecture have made new, comprehensive resources available online. The open-source catalogues follow on from a series of exhibitions and material-literacy courses focussed on sustainable architecture and climate-aware design choices.

The exhibition ‘Changing Our Footprint’ (above) opened in Aedes Architecture Forum, Berlin, in February 2023, imagined as an expansion of the architect’s sketching paper – and thought-process. The engaging displays heavily feature material samples, prototypes, models and drawings – supported by practical data on carbon and innovative approaches to sustainable design.

Versions of the exhibition went on to be repurposed and hosted AIT ArchitekturSalon in Hamburg and Danish Architecture Centre (DAC) in Copenhagen.

The new digital resources build upon the questions and topics presented in the exhibitions and material-literacy courses, giving access to data on carbon, material specifications and green building technologies, many of which are informed by project-based applications by the firm.
